What Medicare covers at Mugen
Under Medicare, care with us typically includes a thorough psychiatric evaluation, ongoing medication management, and follow-up visits, in person at our Oak Brook office in DuPage County or by secure video anywhere in Illinois, including Chicago and Cook County. We treat ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and OCD under Medicare Part B. Care is provided by our board-certified psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, both in network under this plan.
What Medicare members should know
Medicare covers outpatient psychiatric care under Part B: evaluations, medication management, and ongoing visits are all included benefits. With Original Medicare, no referral is required to see a psychiatrist; you may contact us directly.
What you pay depends on which Medicare you have. Under Original Medicare in 2026, the Part B deductible is $283 for the year; after it is met, you are responsible for 20 percent of the Medicare-approved amount, and supplemental coverage, a Medigap policy or retiree plan, often pays most or all of that share. Medicare Advantage plans, offered by carriers such as Aetna, Blue Cross, and United Healthcare, set their own copays and occasionally their own referral rules.
